KiwiSki

Kiwiski is part of the Kiwisport programme started by the Hillary Commission in 1988. The Kiwiski programme helps Primary and Intermediate school students come to terms with having 'long feet' before they take to the snow with their classmates as part of a school trip. A Teachers Resource Guide is available, also free of charge, for all Primary and Intermediate schools to have; this gives exercises for the students to do prior to their trip, along with helpful hints on how to be safe in the mountains plus tips on how to get the very best out of their snow experience. There are two trailers operating in the Canterbury region. For further information on the Kiwiski programme contact Jane csa@skisouth.org.nz
It’s time to book our Kiwiski Trailer & Trainer.
‘It’s a free activity’ We bring the trailer fully equipped with SKIS and BOOTS to your school. We teach your students the basics before they hit the snow for their ski trip. A Kiwiski session lasts 1 hour for 20 students Of course you are able to book one of our trailers without a trainer if this better suits your needs! Enquiries & Trailer bookings can be made through Jane Clifford at the Canterbury Snowsports Association on (03) 3870817 or Fax (03) 3870284 Email csa@skisouth.org.nz
